EROP sichert einen hohen Ausbildungs- und Qualitätsstandard

EROP-Diploma

The EROP ensures a high standard of education and quality in medical osteopathic medicine. In the course of the EROP certification the Diploma Osteopathic Medicine was also defined:

According to the rules of the EROP, a physician who has completed a postgraduate education in Osteopathic Medicine of at least 700 hours can obtain the EROP Diploma of Osteopathic Medicine.

The contents of the training are determined in a base curriculum of the EROP.
The Diploma is only permitted to be issued after a written and practical exam conducted by the member association.

After the issue of the EROP Diploma, a continued education in Osteopathic Medicine has to be verified through the member association. All EROP member associations fulfill this minimum standard. All EROP member associations offer appropriate basic and advanced training programs and can confer the EROP Diploma.

The Diploma Osteopathic Medicine (EROP) is a protected trademark within the EU.

So far, there are no consistent rules in Europe regarding the requirements for a Diploma in Osteopathic Medicine, not like the EROP is striving to establish. The above detailed rules are in accordance of a minimum standard in Osteopathic Medicine defined by the EROP.
